For the month of September our tamariki have been involving themselves in various acts of kindness. Our first act involved our whole centre whānau donating an item to our kindness kete, that we then delivered to our local charity group in Queenstown called The Happiness House.
Our preschool children then also made cards that they attached to bunches of flowers to deliver to places in our community to say thank you for what they do for us. We visited the Queenstown Library, Wakatipu Senior Citizens Club, Fire Station, Medical Centre, Pharmacy, Coffee shop and our neighbours the iFly tourist spot.
We soon discovered that our acts of kindness were returned with lovely acts of kindness back. Aroha mai, aroha atu!
Our younger tamariki also explored ways that they can be kind to one another, our environment and animals. Our kindness adventures have certainly been heartwarming and long lasting.
