During September Kindercare Rangiora has been focusing on filling our Kindness Kete with the help of our local community. We have had such a wonderful response and are so proud to share what we have been busy doing. We invited our parents to help us collect food which we then donated to the Salvation Army - with everyone bringing a contribution we soon had a large kete full to gift.

Across the centre the children enjoyed baking muffins, biscuits and cheese rolls which they then took home to gift to someone special. We had lots of happy grandparents that week!

For the month of September our tamariki have been involving themselves in various acts of kindness. Our first act involved our whole centre whānau donating an item to our kindness kete, that we then delivered to our local charity group in Queenstown called The Happiness House.

Our centre opened its welcoming doors in February this year, and we have filled our beautiful environment with beautiful children and their families, and teachers.

For the month of August we invited families and our team to bring in any old blankets or towels to donate to the koala rescue. We also collected gold coin donations from families and team members donated money to adopt a koala.

A lot of our children have siblings at Glen Eden Intermediate School and one of our kindy mums is a teacher there also. We invited a class to come to kindy for popcorn and stories.
